Vikhroli is a suburban neighbourhood of Mumbai which also has a railway station on the Central Railway line by the same name. The Godrej Complex lies in its vicinity which gave rise to the need for building the Vikhroli railway station way back in 1947. In spite of being a suburban neighbourhood, it is centrally located giving an easy access to most parts of the city. Connectivity
The Agra Road, also known as Eastern Express Highway connects Vikhroli to Dadar, Thane, Chembur and Vashi. A much-needed third connecting bridge is expected to be built that will link Mumbai and Navi Mambai. This bridge will cover Thane Creek starting from Kannamwar Nagar off the Eastern Express Highway all the way to Kopar Khairane. There are also many bus routes operating in these areas connecting Vikhroli to Kannamwar Nagar, Wadala, Dadar, Ghatpokar Railway Station and Seepz Depot. There are also many BEST buses plying in the area. The Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport is located about 10km away from Vikhroli. This neighbourhood also enjoys close proximity to places like Kensington SEZ Powari and the Andheri MIDC trial Estate.
