Goa has four National Highways passing through it NH-66, NH-4A, NH-366, and NH-566. The best property locations in Goa are Candolim, Caranzalem, Cavelossim, Chimbel, and Coolva. With the increasing scope of education and employment opportunities here, there is a growing demand for properties in Goa. This has led to a spike in real estate prices here. In current times, the state has been offering one of the better returns on investment. North Goa is more of an investment market, while South Goa is for home seekers, given that it is relatively on the affordable side. North Goa offers better rental and resale avenues, due to its popularity with tourists and all-round development.
Amid a sharp appreciation in prices and demand for residential units in North Goa, established developers from other states are concentrating their efforts here, and expanding to nearby areas like Socorro, Sangolda, Pilerne, Saligao, Old Goa, and Ribandar. North Goa scores high on the tourism quotient and the lifestyle value, offering greater access to beaches, resorts, clubs, and shopping facilities. Even home buyers from other parts of the country prefer to settle around Panaji or Porvorim, due to lifestyle opportunities.

Tourism is the mainstay in coastal areas of Goa, the most favoured destination for visitors with limited means. Tiracol, Chapora, Corjuem, Aguada, Reis Magos, Nanus, Mormugao, Fort Gaspar Dias and Cabo De Rama are the well-known forts in Goa.
The notable temples include the Shanta Durga temple, the Mangueshi temple, and the Mahalasa temple. Goa State Museum and the Naval Aviation Museum are the two significant museums here. Besides the major local festivals, tourists also remain enthusiastic about the Goan Carnival and New Year celebration.
