A city in Kerala on the Malabar coast, Kozhikode
is the second-largest city of the state. It is at a distance of about 380 kilometres north of Thiruvananthapuram. In 2012, it was given the title City of Sculptures (Shilpa Nagaram), owing to the various architectural sculptures that dot the city. Besides being a centre of flourishing domestic and international trade, Kozhikode
also contributes to the all-round development of the district in trade, commerce, and economic development. it is the main trade hub of North Kerala.
