Sarjapur is a neighbourhood located towards the Southeast of Bengaluru. It is a Hobli under the Anekal Taluk, which is a part of the Bangalore Urban District. One of the most rapidly developing area of Bengaluru, Sarjapur enjoys smooth communication with a range of IT hubs such as those in Electronic City (19 kilometres), Whitefield (15 kilometres), Marathahalli, Outer Ring Road (16 kilometres) and Koramangala. Sarjapur is surrounded by areas including Hosahalli, Balukkrichi, Chikkadunnasandra and Gudighattanahalli.
Sarjapur gained prominence after Infosys acquired 202 acres of land here, to set up an IT Special Economic Zone (SEZ). Azim Premji Foundation has also announced acquisition of 50 acres of land for constructing a university here.

Connectivity

Sarjapur enjoys smooth communication with the rest of Bengaluru via Sarjapur Attibele Road and Chikka Thirupathi Road. Several buses operated by the BMTC, auto rickshaws and taxis are readily available for travel. The Bangalore City Railway Station in Majestic is 31.7 kilometres via the Sarjapur Main Road while the Kempegowda International Airport in Devanahalli is 63.2 kilometres from here along the NH7.
