      NBCC, Kotak Among 4 Shortlisted To Buy Insolvency-Hit Jaypee Infratech

      Government-owned NBCC along with Kotak Investment, Singapore-based Cube Highways and Suraksha Group have been shortlisted to acquire debt-laden Jaypee Infratech. Currently, insolvency proceedings against the company are underway in the National Company Law Tribunal. Last year, when Lakshadweep Pvt Ltd, a joint venture between Sudhir Valia-led Suraksha Asset Reconstruction Company and Mumbai-based Dosti Realty, won the bid to buy the company for Rs 7,350 crore, Jaypee declined the offer on the grounds of undervaluation.

      Jharkhand has emerged as the best-performing state in terms of cleanliness while Indore in Madhya Pradesh was adjudged the cleanest city in the country, in the Swachh Survekshan 2018. In this year’s survey, where 37.66 lakh citizens gave their feedback, the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) was named the cleanest municipality area, with a population between one lakh and three lakh.

      Delhi-Mumbai Express Highway May Cut Travel Time By 8 Hours         

      Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari has announced that work on the Delhi-Mumbai Express Highway would start soon. The Delhi-Mumbai Expressway is a greenfield access-controlled highway developed at a cost of Rs 1 lakh crore and will take three years for completion. Aimed at reducing the travel time between the two cities from 20 hours to 12 hours, the project will also have a new alignment covering several backward areas of the country and lead to industrial growth.
