The Bengaluru Development Authority (BDA) is planning to audit its properties to cash in on untapped sources of income.

In order to provide ease of commuting, the Delhi Metro is going to build seven subways along the Magenta Line near the Outer Ring Road. The plan is to build seven underpasses for pedestrians at Munirka, RK Puram, IIT, Panchsheel Park, Chirag Delhi, Greater Kailash and Nehru Enclave. These subways will be operational by mid-April. Through their multiple exits and entry points, these subways would help non-Metro travellers, too.

The Bharatmala project, which is touted as the biggest infrastructure project in the history of India, is expected to impact businesses of as many as 25 toll projects across the country. According to a report by rating agency Icra, these toll road projects, with a debt of Rs 19,435 crore, are at risk due to the planned economic corridors under the Bharatmala project.

The national capital will try its hand at a major experiment to overcome ever-increasing road traffic. Delhi LG Anil Baijal has proposed three measures that would be implemented soon along the congested stretches for controlling vehicle population in the city.

For the first time, India will now have standard speed limits. The Centre has given its approval to increase the highest speed limit for cars in urban areas to 70 kilometre per hour (kmph) up from the earlier 60 kmph. For cargo carriers, the new limit set is 60 kmph, and for two-wheelers it is 50 kmph. Also, the highest speed limit for cars running on expressways has been increased to 120 kmph from the existing 100 kmph. On the national highways, this limit has been raised to 100 kmph from the earlier 80 kmph.
