The Mumbai Metro has crossed 400-million ridership at a 12-km route between Versova- Andheri- Ghatkopar in a period of four years. Also, it has emerged as the only public transport infrastructure that witnessed an increase in passengers of up to 15 per cent annually. According to the data available with Mumbai Metro One, the network operates with around 378-382 trips on weekdays, with a punctuality performance of 99.9 per cent along what is the world's densest corridor. The route also connects the eastern and western suburbs via Andheri.

The first phase of the Mumbai Coastal Road project, a proposed 34-kilometre freeway running along the western coastline, is expected to begin by October 2018. The freeway will link Princess Street Flyover near Marine Lines to the south-end of the Bandra-Worli Sea Link (BWSL) under Phase-I and upto Kandivali under Phase-II. The project will be developed at an estimated cost of Rs 15,000 crore and will decongest the Western Express Highway and boost real estate developments across the western Mumbai.

The line III of the Mumbai Metro is a 33.5-km underground corridor from Colaba in south Mumbai to Seepz in the north via Bandra. It is being implemented in phases with the first phase from Aarey Milk Colony to the airport to be thrown open by March 2021 while the second phase from Cuffe Parade is expected to open in December same year. Developed at an estimated cost of Rs 23,136 crore, the project will have 21 stations and advanced features to prevent subway flooding during rains.

According to his latest annual financial reporting from the year 2016, Trump earned up to $5 million from the Mumbai Worli project and up to $1 million from the Kolkata project in royalties. From his upcoming project in Gurgaon, he reported an income slightly less than $200. Trump has not listed any income from his Pune project.

To avoid last year’s flood-like situation, the BMC has started the groundwork ahead of monsoon which includes auditing of trees, cleaning of drains, deepening of the Mithi river, etc.
