Manimangalam is a village in Chennai, which is at distance of 33 kilometres from the city centre. It is located in Kunnattur Taluk of Kanchipuram district. It is located 44 kilometres towards east from Kanchipuram, 12 kilometres from Kunnattur. It is bounded by Sethupatta, Mudichur, Varadharajapuram, Naduveerapatta, and Somangalam. Manimangalam is surrounded by Kattankolathur Taluk towards South, Sriperumbudur Taluk towards west, St.Thomas Mount Taluk towards East, Poonamallee Taluk towards North. Nearby cities include Nandivaram-Guduvancheri, Thirunindravur, Ambattur , and Chengalpattu. This place is bordered by Kanchipuram district and Thiruvallur district.

Manimangalam still has an under developed social infrastructure. There are not many schools here. The only popular one is GHS Manimangalam School. There are few colleges in the vicinity, which is includes Dhanalakshmi College of Engineering and TMG College of Arts and Science.
