    Housing Projects Covering 1.5 Lakh Sqm Will Not Need Green Clearance

    Amid rising heat on the Prime Minister Modi-led government to speed up construction process to deliver its promise of building houses for all by 2022, the environment ministry has decided to ease green norms for large residential projects. In a notification published on November 15, the ministry has laid that residential projects with a built-up area of 1.5 lakh square metre (sqm) would no longer require an environmental clearance, a move that is likely to speed up the construction process.
