Headquartered in Gurgaon, Indiabulls is an Indian conglomerate headed by Chairman Mr. Sameer Gehlaut. The company was established in 1999 and operates in sectors of housing finance, real estate and wealth management. The company when founded had tapped into the potential of a nascent e-commerce market in India. It went on to become one of the very first online platforms offering internet brokerage services. The flagship company gradually expanded by offering physical stores across various parts of India and establishing a strong pan India presence through its client base and offices on the internet. The real estate business started gaining size and demerged from the Indiabulls Financial Services as a separate subsidiary known as Indiabulls Real Estate. With a net worth of over Rs. 19000 crore, Indiabulls has created a strong impact in the Indian real estate and stock market within a short span of time.
In 2015 Indiabulls became the second largest private housing finance company and the third largest real estate company by net worth of assets. Since its inception, it has delivered a record 4.7 million square feet worth of real estate space and has a credit rating of AA-, one of the highest among Indian real estate developers. It entered into a strategic partnership with Farallon Capital Management LLC of USA, who was instrumental in bringing one of the first FDIs into the real estate market of India. At present, Indiabulls Real Estate has 11 projects under various stages of construction and will be offering a saleable area of 30.40 million square feet. Indiabulls acquired its first landmark property overseas in 2015 at Mayfair for INR 1630 crore. With this acquisition, Indiabulls is now aiming for establishing its international presence as well. Landmark Projects: One of the most famous and well-known Indiabulls project was Vatika in Shahibagh, Ahmedabad featuring 214 residential units of 1 and 2 BHK type each and sizes ranging from around 600 to 900 sq. ft. Other such key developments were the Sky in Lower Parel, Mumbai, Greens in Panvel, Mumbai, Golf City in Khopoli, Blu in Worli, IB City in sector 27, Sonepat, Enigma in sector 110 Gurgaon and a very recent one being the Centrum Park in sector 103.
