Pirangut is part of the Mulshi Taluka in Pune. It is a newly developed locality in the outskirts of Pune and the center of the city 20 kms from here. The locality is surrounded by Kasaramboli, Bhare, Mulkhed, Bhukum and Urawade.

Connectivity
Pirangut has good road connectivity. It is located at a road junction where major road networks (Temghar-Lavasa Road, the Mulshi Road, the Paud Road and the Ghota Wade Road) intersect. The Pune railway station is located at a distance of 25 kms from here and the airport is situated at 30 kms. Cabs and auto-rickshaws are another commonly used mode of transportation in Pirangut.

Real estate
Pirangut is predominantly a commercial and industrial locality but the requirement to reside close to work places is drawing people to invest in property at this locality. The area offers an affordable real estate. Average rate per square feet area is estimated to be around Rs 3,500 to Rs 4,000. The area has several under-construction projects. Property rates are estimated to increase steadily with the launch of new projects, both commercial and residential.

Social infrastructure
The area is growing to become an industrial hub of the city, with a number of plants being set up here. There are a few educational institutions in this region like Mamasaheb Mohol Vidyalay Bhugaon and Alard College of Engineering and Administration.
