Mapusa (pronounced as Mapsa) is a town in north Goa, 13-km away from the capital Panaji. It is the administrative headquarters of the Bardez Taluka and the biggest town of northern Goa. Mapusa is located near to the NH-17, which connects Kochi to Mumbai.
Mapusa is situated near several tourist attractions in Goa, particularly the north Goa beaches. It is known to be a residential area with peaceful and quiet ambience. The Kadamba Bus Station is the main bus stop of the town wherefrom buses to various parts of Goa, Maharashtra and Karnataka.
