Take your home off market!
Similar to purchase of a home, selling a home is a very difficult and time consuming task. Once you put your home in the market for sale, every now and then you get calls and show around your home to buyers. There are a number of reasons why there can be a delay in the sale of a home and you can correct some of the issue by regularly checking up Home Selling Section of MakaanIQ.
It is suggested that if you have listed your home for a long period of time with no success you might take it off the market for a short period of time. There are a number of factors attached to this decision and you can read some of them below:
- Days on Market: If the home has been on the real estate market for more than 12 months, you should take in off for a while.
- Showings per week: The number of times the home is shown to the prospective buyers in a week is a great indicator of how the home is standing in the market. If the showings are very low than the reason could be price or marketing and it is better to take the home off and then restart after a short period of time.
- Offers received: If you have not received any good offers even if the home has been in the market for a decent amount of time then it is time to take off the home and put it back with a revised price tag; the buyers are also suspicious offering to take a home that has been up for sale for a long period of time.
- Market statistics: If the real estate market of your region is neither stable nor at a high then it is advisable for you to consider selling your home at a later point in time.
Before putting the home for sale be sure that you have done enough market research and the price of your home is not high as compared to your competitors.
