        Delayed For Years, MIG Redevelopment Colony To Be Back On Track Soon

        Mhada Approves Six Housing Proposals; Mumbai To See Over 6 L New Homes

        After the state government made the Mhada as the planning authority for 56 colonies, the authority has now approved six of the 60 proposals submitted by various projects across Mumbai.         Homebuyers Are Now Financial Creditors

        Homebuyers will now be recognised as “financial creditors” under the insolvency law, with President Ram Nath Kovind giving his assent to promulgate the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (Amendment) Ordinance, 2018, on June 6. The ordinance was approved by the Cabinet on May 23.

        Stop All Construction In Delhi's Unauthorised Colonies: SC

        The Supreme Court has halted further constructions in 1,797 colonies of Delhi, which are not in conformity with the building bye laws. The top court has asked the Centre to set up a special task force to oversee enforcement of laws regarding illegal constructions. Also, the Delhi High Court has warned the Delhi government of a time bomb in the making owing to its vested interest of regularising illegal constructions with the support of municipal corporations.
