        Haryana Builders Fail To Pay Rs 200 Cr, Govt Takes Over 15 Projects

        After the Supreme Court recently allowed state-run builder National Building Construction Company (NBCC) to take over projects of insolvency-hit real estate major Amrapali, the Haryana Town and Country Planning Department has decided to adopt a similar stance. According to media reports, the department has cancelled the licence of 15 developers who have been building residential and commercial projects spread across Gurgaon, Faridabad, Hisar and Katnal.

        Haryana Approves Rs 600-Cr Budget For Phase-II Of AMRUT Projects

        The Haryana government has approved a budget of Rs 600 crore for enhancing the civic facilities under the Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) scheme. Around nine projects in seven towns have been selected for the second phase of the scheme. The scheme was launched in 2015 for improving basic urban infrastructure to households entailing water supply, sewerage networks, storm water drains, urban transport, and open and green spaces, across 500 Indian cities.
