Kondwa is one of the oldest colonies in Pune, situated towards the southeast part of the city. This residential area has recently undergone massive development and is one of the fastest growing suburbs of Pune. The construction of a highway, starting from Katraj, of about 60 metres width, has also been proposed. It is also well-linked to Mohammedwadi. Further, Kondhwa enjoys close proximity with Undri, owing to the development of the Bypass Road.

The Magatpatta IT City being not too far from this area is one of the major driving forces behind the real estate market here.
