        All You Need To Know About Mumbai Coastal Road

        The first phase of the Mumbai Coastal Road project, a proposed 34-kilometre freeway running along the western coastline, is expected to begin by October 2018. The freeway will link Princess Street Flyover near Marine Lines to the south-end of the Bandra-Worli Sea Link (BWSL) under Phase-I and upto Kandivali under Phase-II. The project will be developed at an estimated cost of Rs 15,000 crore and will decongest the Western Express Highway and boost real estate developments across the western Mumbai.

        To Decongest East Delhi, Centre Proposes A 19-Km Highway

        The Centre is planning to build a 19-km highway starting from Loni near the Delhi-Ghaziabad border to the Akshardham flyover. The new highway will allow commuters to avoid the congested areas of east Delhi and reach the Saharanpur-bound national highway NH709B near Loni from the NH-24 directly. The project has received an in-principle approval while it may take upto three months to file a detailed project report.

        Delayed For Years, MIG Redevelopment Colony To Be Back On Track Soon

        Started in 2006, the redevelopment work is far from completion but might get on track as the Bombay High Court has cleared the deck for the construction work to start. The project was in litigation due to a rule imposed by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation that the developer must execute a permanent agreement with the old homeowners to get the construction commencement certificate. As the Bombay HC has set aside this condition, the work might begin soon.

        Barapullah Road Phase II, III Set To Make Commute Easier

        Barapullah Road Phase II and III will make the commute easier between east and south Delhi. The stretch when operational would start at Mayur Vihar Metro station and would end at Aurobindo Marg and INA Market. The total commute time from east Delhi to airport will come down to 40 minutes. The corridor would also connect NH-24 and NH-8, providing a signal-free ride to the commuters plying towards south Delhi.
