#WorldEnvironmentDay: Noida Seeks Rs 433-Cr Assistance From Centre To Fight Pollution
In a recent study by a mobile application brand, launched last month in Paris, breathing in Noida’s air is equivalent to smoking 9.2 cigarettes a day. This makes Noida the world’s most polluted city. In order to curb the rising pollution levels, the UP pollution control board has in a letter to Union environment ministry sought an assistance of Rs 433 crore. The assistance will be used for upgrading infrastructure that could help bring down pollution levels in Noida and Greater Noida.
