Delhi-Mumbai Express Highway May Cut Travel Time By 8 Hours
Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari has announced that work on the Delhi-Mumbai Express Highway would start soon. The Delhi-Mumbai Expressway is a greenfield access-controlled highway developed at a cost of Rs 1 lakh crore and will take three years for completion. Aimed at reducing the travel time between the two cities from 20 hours to 12 hours, the project will also have a new alignment covering several backward areas of the country and lead to industrial growth.
