    Powai is a suburban neighbourhood situated on the bank of Powai Lake. It lies to the north-east of Mumbai. Surrounded by L.B.S. Marg (old Mumbai-Agra Road) to the north-east, Sanjay Gandhi National Park to the north, hills of Vikhroli Parksite to the south-east, and Chandivali to the south-west, Powai hosts offices of several corporate giants such as Deloitte, CRISIL, and Bayer, amongst others. Originally a central village, Powai has witnessed prolific and exponential growth in the recent years and has now turned out to be one of Mumbais most up-market commercial and residential hubs. It is replete with a number of luxury hotels, mega stores, and the offices of several commercial institutions. The famous landmark of this locality is the 120-year-old Powai Lake.
