The Marine Drive, now 'Netaji Subhashchandra Bose Marg' is a 3.5-kilometre-long boulevard in South Mumbai. It is a 'C'-shaped six-lane concrete road along the coast. The road links Nariman Point to Babulnath and Malabar Hill. Marine Drive is also known as the Queen's Necklace as the bay looks like a necklace in the night with its twinkling lights when it is viewed from an elevated point. The 3 km long Marine Drive is a natural bay and forms a portion of the famous skyline of Mumbai.
Further down the Marine Drive, there is a place called Walkeshwar, which is one of the wealthiest neighbourhood of the city. This place is the home to the Governor of Maharashtra.
