The Allahabad High Court has ordered to stop the construction work at Noida Sector 77 project, Express Zenith till July 10. The order has come on the basis of an appeal made by one of the homebuyers alleging that the builder has constructed floors beyond the permitted limit sanctioned by the Noida Authority.

The affordable housing segment will get a boost with the Reserve Bank of India on June 6 raising the loan limits under priority sector lending. The RBI has decided to revise the housing loan limits for PSL eligibility from Rs 28 lakh to Rs 35 lakh in metropolitan centres and from Rs 20 lakh to Rs 25 lakh in other centres.

 Carpet area is the area covered by a carpet and is often 70 per cent of the built-up area. The built-up area is the sum of carpet area and the thickness of walls of the housing unit whereas the super built-up area is the total sum of the built-up area and the space occupied by common areas. Developers add a Loading Factor of 25 or 30 per cent or a multiplying factor of 1.25 or 1.3 to calculate super built up area basis which apartments are priced.

Homebuyers of the apartments in Winter Hills society have alleged that the developer is forcing them to move into the project that has no RERA-registration number and no proper amenities. This time the Delhi High Court has come to the rescue of these homebuyers who invested their hard-earned money in the project located at Sector 77 of Gurgaon. The project is delayed by four years.

At a time when residents and villagers are gearing up to “physically” stop the dumping of waste at the proposed Sector 123 dumping yard site in Noida, the city administration has announced it would collect only dry waste from residential sectors from June 30. This means residents will be responsible to segregate waste at source.
