        All You Need To Know About Mumbai Coastal Road

        The first phase of the Mumbai Coastal Road project, a proposed 34-kilometre freeway running along the western coastline, is expected to begin by October 2018. The freeway will link Princess Street Flyover near Marine Lines to the south-end of the Bandra-Worli Sea Link (BWSL) under Phase-I and upto Kandivali under Phase-II. The project will be developed at an estimated cost of Rs 15,000 crore and will decongest the Western Express Highway and boost real estate developments across the western Mumbai.

        Barapullah Road Phase II, III Set To Make Commute Easier

        Barapullah Road Phase II and III will make the commute easier between east and south Delhi. The stretch when operational would start at Mayur Vihar Metro station and would end at Aurobindo Marg and INA Market. The total commute time from east Delhi to airport will come down to 40 minutes. The corridor would also connect NH-24 and NH-8, providing a signal-free ride to the commuters plying towards south Delhi.

        Mumbai May Soon Try Out Odd-Even Parking

        The traffic police department of Mumbai may soon launch the ‘odd-even parking system’ on a pilot basis in Kalbadevi market area in south Mumbai, aimed at solving parking problems and road congestion. Implemented in world cities such as New York, under the odd-even parking system the vehicle has to be parked on either side of the road depending on whether it is an odd-numbered or an even-numbered day of the month.
