Kolkata falls in the northern part of the city and comprises of neighbourhoods such as Dumdum,
Jessore Road,
Rajarhat,
Kaikhali and New
Barrackpore.
Connectivity
Dumdum is connected via a good network of roads to all major parts of the city. The NH34 located near Dalkhola is a major route to enter the city. The
Jessore Road and
VIP Road are also two other major important roads that connect this locality to the
Airport on one side and central
Kolkata on the other side. There are numerous CSTC and private buses plying along the
Airport Area and adjacent neighbourhoods. Nearby railway station includes the Dumdum Cantonment and belongs the the
Sealdah-Ranaghat line.

Jessore Road and adjacent localities have witnessed a steady and considerable price escalation over the years. Average sizes of apartments range from 400 to 3,000 sq. ft. with prices estimated to be at an average of Rs 3,800 per sq. ft. Prices fluctuate between a minimum and maximum of Rs 2,500 to Rs 6,800 per sq. ft.
