    PM Modi Inaugurates 135-Km Western Peripheral Expressway

    Prime Minister Narendra Modi has inaugurated 135-km Kundli-Manesar-Palwal Expressway, also known as Western Peripheral Expressway. The expressway offers signal-free connectivity to Palwal from Sonepat, bypassing Delhi while also diverting as many as 50,000 heavy vehicles away from Delhi. The entire peripheral expressway would form a ring road around Delhi, spanning a total length of 270 kilometres. Locations such as Gurgaon, Manesar, Ghaziabad, Greater Noida, Palwal, Kundli and Sonepat are likely to witness sizeable real estate growth with the help of the expressway.

    Kolkata Municipal Body To Wall-Shame Property Tax Defaulters

    The move has come after the civic body failed to collect tax arrears of around Rs 50 crore even when there are 7.60 lakh assesses within its jurisdiction. While the tax deposit procedure has been made online, several defaulters remain reluctant in depositing their property tax on time or wait for the waivers’ scheme to square up the arrears by paying only the principal amount while the penalty and interest amounts are waived.

    New Development Plan: Taller Mumbai Will Have 10 L Affordable Homes By 2034

    The Maharashtra government has sanctioned the Mumbai Development Control and Promotion Regulations 2034. The new plan is expected to open up over 3,700 hectares of land in the city’s no-development zone and salt-pan land. This large tract of land is likely to be used for developing residential real estate in the affordable category. According to the plan, nearly 10 lakh affordable houses will be constructed by 2034. It was earlier this year that the DCPR 2034 was passed by the government.
