While the use of animal skin, as part of your home decor, is completely prohibited in Vastu, one could opt for artificial leather items. However, this must be done in a Vastu-compliant manner.
Take note:
*Leather items such as bags, belts or shoes should not be stored under the bed or the sofa.
*The southeast direction is ideal for placing leather items, except shoes.
*Damaged leather items should be discarded immediately as clutter and damage attract negative energies.
*Avoid placing leather objects near the Puja room.
*Leather products should not be given or received as gifts.
