Techies of Indian origin based in US (popularly known as NRIs) are eying at property in South India. A survey conducted during a property show held in US revealed that Indians in US who are into technology wish to own property in south Indian cities like Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad and Kochi. Whereas properties in cities like Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Pune, Delhi, Coimbatore and Visakhapatnam are preferred only on a limited scale. Out of the cities in South, a property in Bangalore is desired the most, followed by Chennai and Hyderabad.
It could be very well deduced that the cities in South are targeted because of the maximum concentration of IT and other technology firms in this region. This region sees the maximum number of migrations of Techies to US. Bangalore is known as Silicon Valley of India and it is home to the finest of IT firms in the world. Chennai and Hyderabad are also popular destinations for Technology firms to open their offices. The Cyber city in Hyderabad popularly known as Cyberabad is internationally known.
The NRIs expressed a requirement of home loans for partly funding their investment. Many NRIs desired the property for their own-use; where-as others opted it for pure investment.
