To Speed Up Property Registration Process, TN Launches Software
Property registrations will get far more transparent in Tamil Nadu as the state introduces Star 2.0 Software. Starting September 3, property owners in Tamil Nadu could be able to keep a check on how far their property registration has progressed.
How will this help?
Property registrations are time-taking. But, not anymore. Once the new software is put to work, applicants would be intimated about each step through an SMS on their registered number. If the application is kept pending, the applicant would be informed about the next course of action from their side. If the application is rejected, the applicant would be alerted and they could obtain the rejection certificate from the software. Similarly, if the document is registered, the claim would be verified by the Inspector General of Registration.
In case the applicant is not satisfied, they could also file a complaint with the Inspector General of Registration on the toll-free number 1800-102-5174.
How to proceed?
All the applicant needs to do is register their mobile number with tnreginet(dot)gov(dot)in. Once the contact details are verified, they could prepare their draft documents for the registration.
The Tamil Nadu Registration Department website claims that the software has bagged laurels at the Chief Minister’s Best Practices Award- 2018 for its comprehensive web-based software for speedy registration and online services.
