  • The cost of living in urban areas is much higher when compared to suburbs, because of better amenities and infrastructure.
  • There is a huge difference in property tax rates too. Property taxes are higher in more expensive areas of the city.
  • Suburbs consist mostly of single-family housing far from the city, while urban areas are primarily multi-family apartment buildings and condos.

To assess what is best for you, you should figure out what your definition of quality of life is. This, of course, depends on perception and personal preferences. This is usually influenced by your attitude toward life, where you work, where you grew up and many such factors.
