NAREDCO gets a new leader

Navin M Raheja, the chairman and MD of Raheja Developers Ltd was elected as the president of National Real Estate Development Council (NAREDCO). NAREDCO has also named its new panel of members in its 13th annual general meeting that was held in New Delhi.

Sunil Mantri, Chairman of Sunil Mantri Realty Ltd was elected as Vice president. The MD of Vigneshwara Developers Pvt Ltd, Mr. Sunil Dahiya, was elected as Senior Vice President. The team will serve the Council a period of two years.

Navin M Raheja, the new elected president has a vision set to improve the Real Estate Industry in India. Mr. Raheja aspires to transform the Indian Housing and Real Estate Industry by opening Real Estate Development Councils in all states and enrolling new members in large numbers. He also wishes to make it responsive to the needs of millions houseless, especially poor. He promises to remove obstacles in the sector, and may even take the support of the Central and State governments to keep the promise.

NAREDCO has been instrumental in the promotion of the Housing and Real Estate Sector in the country. It is the apex regulatory body of Real Estate Sector established under the aegis of Ministry of Housing & Urban Poverty Alleviation, Government of India. It shelters all sects of the Real Estate Industry like developers, financers, real estate agents and material manufacturers, etc. Self regulation and transparency in business are core objectives of NAREDCO. With Kumari Selja, the Union minister of housing & urban poverty alleviation and minister of culture, as its chief patron, NAREDCO has many milestones to achieve. Amongst the founders and pioneers of the Council are Sushil Ansal, chairman Ansal API, KP Singh, chairman, DLF Ltd, and G L Raheja, chairman, K Raheja Constructions and K Raheja Hospitality Housing and Urban Development Corporation Ltd (HUDCO) and National Housing Bank (NHB).
