The Rs 48-Cr Home Saif Ali Khan Is Yet To Move Into
Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan, also fondly known as ‘Nawab’, believes in living life king size. This is visible in his choice when it comes to living in the Maximum City Mumbai. A descendant of the Pataudi family, Khan is known to have spent a fortune on a property he bought back in 2013.
Although this property was bought for dwelling purposes, Khan along with his wife and actress Kareena Kapoor Khan are yet to move into this property. Here’s all you need to know about this property that the Nawab owns:
Location: The property lies close to his current address of Fortune Heights in Bandra. The actor in 2013 invested in four floors of a building right opposite to Fortune Heights. Each floor has a 3BHK apartment spread in an area of 3,000 square foot (sqf). He plans to turn these four floors into two duplex apartments each. The apartments are located in Bandra West, one of the posh localities of Mumbai, also known as the queen of suburbs. A cosmopolitan locality, the average BSP of property here stands at Rs 35,163. The average budget for a 3BHK here stands at Rs 7.37 crore.
Cost: The actor bought these four apartments for Rs 12 crore each, taking the total deal price to Rs 48 crore.
Décor: The apartment is still under renovation and is being designed by celebrity designer, Nozer Wadia. Wadia is known to have designed homes of actors Amitabh Bachchan and Arjun Rampal and industrialist Gautam Singhania. The apartments are expected to be equipped with terrace garden, a gym, a swimming pool and a spacious library.
Delay: When the couple had bought the property, it was reported that the two were expected to move into the apartment by mid-2014. However, the apartment has been under renovation for a long time now. According to latest reports, Khan has been quoted saying that the apartments are located in a housing society that is home to employees of the US Consulate and so the renovation work is only on from 9 am to 6 pm. The restricted time for work has caused the delay.
In 2017, reports also did the rounds that the two were planning to rent these apartments. However, nothing has happened even on those grounds.
