Inside Kangana Ranaut’s Manali Home
Actress Kangana Ranaut, known for her choice of roles in movies, recently invested in an expansive manor in Manali. One of the most talked about properties that Bollywood actors have invested in, this mountain retreat has been designed by interior designer Shabnam Gupta.
Inside her holiday home
Each corner of the property has been given a colour combination that goes well with the colours of the nature surrounding it. The façade is painted in charcoal grey with stripes and white window, giving it a look of a mountain home that has European essence.
The mountain retreat, located at 2,000 metres above sea level is little away from Manali. The home adorns a timber ceiling in the living room. The master bedroom has Jaipuri rugs with a classical armchair that gives it a quintessential look. The interiors, in sync with the mountains, include hand-painted wood paneling, plaid upholstery, family photos and antique shawls in the hallway, as reported by Architectural Digest.
The house also has an all-glass conservatory that brings one closer to mountain anytime of the day. The look of the conservatory is completed with a cane sofa, single chairs, printed flooring tiles and a tractor counter.
To ensure Ranaut's daily fitness routine, a yoga room has been added to the house, which has teak hardwood flooring with vaulted concrete ceiling. The dining room gives a glimpse of foyer while the entrance passage has been given a simplistic look with the help of a wooden console and a chandelier.
The guest bedroom has a bed and side table with a vintage silver object placed on it, keeping the feel sober yet simple.
In an interview with Architectural Digest, Ranaut said that she takes her Manali mansion as an ultimate party house, rather than a mountain retreat.
