Ellen DeGeneres Lists Her Santa Barbara Property For $45 Mn
Celebrated talk show host and comedian Ellen DeGeneres and partner Portia de Rossi have listed their Santa Barbara property for a jaw-dropping-eight-figure price tag of $45 million. The property, named "The Villa", has been listed on the website of luxury listing agency Sotheby's.
The couple had bought this property back in 2012 for a price of $26.5 million. DeGeneres, who runs a TV talk show, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, is known for her passion for real estate, too. In 2016, she sold one of her properties for the second time. It was a 4,000-sq-ft mansion in Hollywood Hills West. She had first sold the property in 2007 for $10 million and then bought it back in 2014 for $8.75 million, and sold it again in August 2016 for $9.9 million.
MakaaniQ takes you to a virtual tour of the property that will be worth every penny:

While this one sentence says all you have to know to visualise this beautiful property, there is more to it. While the whole estate is spread in an area of 16.88 acres while the interiors sprawl over 10,500 sq ft. It was built in the 1930s by the renowned architect Wallace Frost which he had constructed for himself.
It is a two-storey property that is inspired by the classical style of 17th-century Italian villas and is listed as a romantic villa on the listing site.

Move into the property and you will be welcomed to six bedrooms, six baths, nine fireplaces, a media room, multiple libraries, a regal living room, a formal dining room, a kitchen equipped with marble-wrapped surfaces and stainless-steel appliances, and stone terraces. Take a look around and all the windows and doors are made of glass allowing you to have a complete view of the beautiful outdoors.
In terms of the interiors, a special attention has been given to every detail. It also has rustic exposed ceiling beams, vintage light fixtures, and walls made of locally quarried stone which ooze strength.
"The house is always surprising. It reveals itself to you in new ways every day. It's not overly manicured or tidy. It's not overly precious or perfect. And it's a home that manages to be both spacious and cozy at once," DeGeneres was quoted as saying in a Sotheby's press release.
