Jannat: The uber-luxury abode of SRK is named as Jannat which was bought at a price of around Rs 18 crore ($2.8 million). The address K-93, Signature Villa, is a part of K Frond in Palm Jumeirah which is the world's largest artificial island.
The developer: Nakheel, a Dubai-based property developer, gifted the villa to the actor under a formal gift deed in September 2007, after obtaining the Reserve Bank of India's (RBI) approval.
The size: Nestled on a 14,000 sqft plot, the two-floor villa spans a total area of 8,500 sqft with six bedrooms.
The design features: While exteriors are open to visitors, the interiors areas are highly secured with restricted entry. The grandeur of lush gardens and white-hued facades of the residence resemble that of a royal palace. Plus, it offers scenic views and tranquility that every celebrity looks for. The villa exudes the classic luxe factor of a celebrity home with high-end furniture. The interior designing and décor have been done by the superstar’s wife, Gauri Khan who is also an interior designer by profession.

Recent news: The Dubai villa of SRK, one of the highest paid Indian actors, was under tax scanner and was disputed by the income-tax authorities whether it was a gift or a remuneration to Khan for services to endorse the company. Later it was declared the property would not be treated as the actor’s taxable income since it was bought before 2009 when there was no law for taxability of a property given as a gift. The I-T Act was amended in October 2009 and declared gifts valued more than a certain amount to be taxable.
