Telangana Plans Two IT Clusters, Aims To Generate 1.25 L Jobs
The Telangana government said that it was in the process to set up two new information technology (IT) clusters.
According to an official release, the State government is in discussion with more than 30 IT companies, including multinationals, to convince them to set up their operations in the proposed IT clusters.
Although the release said the names of the companies cannot be revealed yet, the government will be signing a memorandum of understanding with each one of them soon. The companies are expected to commence operations within five years from signing the MoU, he added.
According to officials, the two clusters, expected to come up in Budvel and Rajendranagar, are expected to generate employment opportunities for about 1.25 lakh people.
