Rajasthan To Build 26 Bridges Under PMGSY
The Rajasthan government has announced that it will construct 25 long-span bridges at a cost of Rs 161 crore under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojna (PMGSY).
According to state PWD minister Yunus Khan, the Union rural development ministry has sanctioned the funds for the same. The ministry sanctioned the state government proposal following the recommendation of an empowered committee meeting held in November, he added.
Of the total Rs 161 crore, the Union ministry will spend Rs 44.56 crore whereas Rs 116.59 crore will be shared by the state.
Of the total, 12 bridges will be constructed in Baran, seven in Udaipur, two in Sirohi and one each in Bundi and Sri Ganganagar district, Khan informed.
