Noida Builder Forges Allahabad Court Order; Booked For Fraud
Noida-based builder Sushant Agrawal, director of ET Infrastructure, has been booked by officials in a case of fraud and forgery. Agrawal owed an amount of Rs 26.80 crores to the Noida Authority, towards Plot C1 in Sector 16, which is home to the World Trade Tower. However, Agrawal, decided to take a short-cut. Authorities claim that he approached them on July 20, 2019, asserting that he had an order from the Allahabad High Court, dated March 14, 2019 stating that the dues had been waived.
Probing deeper into this court order, the Noida Authority figured that no such order had been passed on the said date. The Authority’s spokesperson said, “It further emerged that Agrawal had tampered with another order of the court which was passed on February 28, 2019 and he had presented that forged order to the Authority.” A complaint was filed at Noida Sector 20 police station and Agrawal has been booked under Indian Penal Code Sections 417, 420, 467 and 468.
