List Of Registered Co-Operative Housing Societies In Karnataka

There are over 1,500 co-operative housing societies in Karnataka and 257 of these are in Bengaluru. However, only a few of these societies are registered with the Karnataka Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) while most of these claim to be registered with Deputy Registrar of Co-operative Societies of the Karnataka government. However, after the real estate law came into force, all such societies which are involved in constructing and selling housing units have to be mandatorily registered with the state RERA as agents as well as promoters.

So, if you are planning to buy a house in one of the co-operative housing societies in Karnataka, here is a list of such societies that are registered with the state RERA:

Akhil Karnataka Brahmins Welfare Society

Based in Mysuru, the Akhil Karnataka Brahmins Welfare Society is associated with Akhil Karnataka Brahmins Infra Developers. Jayapura project is one of their under-construction development in Mysuru suburbs, spread over 125-acre land. However, since this is a project in association with AKBWS, which works only for the Brahmin community, only people belonging to Brahmin (Trimatastha) community can apply. The project is expected to get completed in 2020 and has 1,700 units to offer.

BSNL Employee Housing Building Co-operative Society

This society is based in Bengaluru and was established in 2007. There are over 10 ongoing projects in different parts of the city with a starting price of Rs 698 per sq ft. The sites are allotted on a first-come-first-serve basis and most of the projects are open only to BSNL employees and those who are members of the society. Kapila Layout is one of the approved projects coming up in Udbur, Mysore.

Government Employees House Building Co-Operative Society

Based in Mysuru, this housing society is coming up with multiple projects in Yadahalli, Dadadahalli, Hanchya, Vajamangala, Varruna, etc,. All of these projects are registered with the RERA and homebuyers can look for the RERA ceritifcate on portal.
