Makaan.com revamps Search Result Page (SERP)-makes property search more relevant for Home Buyers

National, March 25, 2013: Most property websites allow the home buyers to search for properties based on preferences like property type, location and budget etc. To make the property search more relevant for Home Buyers, www.makaan.com revamped its Search Result Page (SERP) during the 2nd week of March 2013.

The new initiative will benefit Home Buyers in many ways including:

Complete control on property search: Home Buyers now have an augmented refinement platform. They can refine their search by using 11 useful parameters. Some of the important refinement parameter include locality, age of construction, budget, area, property type, status of furnishing, available amenities, nearby facilities etc.

Wider property choice: New Search Result Page (SERP) initially displays 25 matching properties. While the user is scrolling down, the system loads the next set of properties, providing a seamless experience. In the new SERP, Home Buyers will be able to view 100 properties without pagination.

Elegant and User Friendly Interface:
The new SERP has information arranged in well defined areas to ensure ease of use and comprehension. Important aspects of the property like Price, Rate and key features are highlighted to grab buyer’s attention. Available amenities and nearby facilities are arranged by way of intuitive icons.

Commenting on the revamp, Aditya Verma, CEO of Makaan.com said, “We have always kept home buyers in mind while designing our products and services. In terms of the impact, there has been an encouraging growth in the overall count of responses and responses per user. Even the number of daily property listings on the property site has grown (this could be an indirect benefit, as sellers are also appreciating the new page).
