Home buyers optimistic on the outcome of Union Budget 2012 - A research report by Makaan.com

Buying a home is the considered the biggest purchase decision in life for most Indians and steps taken during the budget have far reaching consequences on mood of the property market. Homebuyers in India are optimistic about the outcome of the forthcoming Union Budget 2012. This year, home buyers believe that the finance minister will announce schemes and programs that will have a positive impact on the Indian housing sector. Buyers are also optimistic of steps to promote affordable housing (housing under 40 lac) in the budget.

These and more are the findings of an online research conducted by Makaan.com, the fastest growing property website in India. The research was conducted through an online survey that ran on the website from February 10th to 29th 2012 and saw participation from 3728 potential home buyers from Tier 1 & Tier 2 cities in India.
