Chateau de Villersexel, France


Designed by Charles Garnier and Gustave Eiffel in 1871, this French Chateau exhibits the style of Louis XIII. The present structure now has 50 rooms, comprising 30 bedrooms and 15 bathrooms. The price of this castle is available on request.

Sammezzano Castle, Italy


This Moorish castle is located in Tuscany and was built in the 17th century by Spanish nobleman Ximenes of Aragon. Sammezzano Castle is a 7,432-sqm mansion, having 20 large suites for a luxury hotel that was shut down in the 1990s. The estimated price of this castle is $22.3 million.

Glin Castle, Ireland


Glin Castle was home to the Fitzgerald clan for 700 years and was home to the last Knight of Glin until a few years ago. The castle sprawls over 1,909 square metres, set over three storeys and including¬†nine bedrooms, a smoking room, a dining room, a library, reception rooms, a grand hall, a double flying staircase and Corinthian columns. The castle is up for sale for ‚ā¨6.5 million.

Carbisdale Castle, Scotland


Carbisdale Castle is a Scottish castle with 40 bedrooms and was a stately home to a youth hostel. The mansion includes a billiards room, a library, a drawing room, a dining room, a grand hall and a ballroom. Built between 1906 and 1917 for the Duchess of Sutherland, this castle is said to be haunted. The castle had been listed for £1.2 million but it is now up for sale for £900,000.

Breachacha Castle, Scotland


This castle, situated on the Isle of Coll Scotland, was developed in the 15th century. In 1750, a newer castle was built to replace the old fort by the 12th Chief of Clan Maclean and Laird of Coll. This heritage-listed home turned into ruins during the 19th century and was refurbished in the 1960s. It is currently up for sale for £450,000.

Craigcrook Castle, Scotland


Craigcrook Castle is a 16th century Edinburgh structure, sprawling over 1.78 hectares. It was built by the family of merchant William Adamson. The structure comprises five bedrooms, two reception rooms, a kitchen, a cinema room, a home gym, a study, a library, separate staff quarters and elevators.  The property is available for £6 million now.

Castle Wedendorf, Germany


With its own helipad, this German castle is a luxury hotel with hallmarks of high living with modern touches. Constructed in 1697, the castle comprises grand staircases, chandeliers, frescos, vaulted ceilings, a library, a stow-storey stable complex and decorative ceiling panels.

Sauerburg Castle, Germany


Listed as a Unesco world heritage site, this castle was constructed during the period between 1355 and 1361. 'Subburne' castle for Count Ruprecht is a remarkable building and is available in the market for $6.395 million. A great hall, a vaulted cellar, a courtyard, a tower room, a chapel & a medieval skittle alley, and single and double rooms, as well as a wedding suite, are the main features of this 23-bedroom property.

Campbell Castle, Scotland


Constructed in 1886, this is a Kansas Castle with turrets and lavish interiors and is available in the market for $3.5 million. Spread over 971 square metres, the house is a limestone structure built by Burton Harvey Campbell. 

Woodstock Castle, Scotland


This modern castle encompasses nine bedrooms and seven bathrooms. Originally listed for $45 million, the property is now available for $39 million.
