    PG Owners In Gurgaon To Pay Property Tax On Per-Bed Basis

    The Municipal Corporation of Gurugram has estimated a revenue loss of Rs 20 since 2008 as the owners of paying guesthouses were paying tax on residential rates rather than the ‘lodging house’ rates. However, now PG owners in the city will have to pay Rs 1,000 per bed in their establishments as tax under the Haryana Municipal Corporation Act. About 40 per cent of these PGs in Gurgaon are in DLF Phases 1,2 and 3.

    Delhi Metro Phase IV Back On Track, Six New Routes Approved

    Delhi government has approved Delhi Metro's fourth phase of expansion. This extended route will be around 103 kilometers in length. There will be six new lines connecting Rithala-Bawana-Narela, Mukundpur-Maujpur, Janakpuri West-R K Ashram, Inderlok-Indraprastha, Tughlakabad to Terminal 1 and Lajpat Nagar-Saket G-block. Introduction of these lines will reduce passenger traffic and boost connectivity in south and central Delhi. Moreover, areas such as Bawana, Narela or Burari will enjoy good connectivity because of this expansion.

    Suncity Township May Be First Private Colony To Be Taken Over By Gurgaon Municipal Body

    If a survey team of the Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon (MCG) finds the infrastructure upgrade up to the mark, Sector 54’s Suncity Township could become the first private colony to be taken over by the government body. In a letter written to the MCG, the developer of the township, Essel Group, has said that all deficiencies pertaining to the infrastructure have been fixed. Spread over 141 acre, the township, with 895 plots, is prone to a flood-like situation during the Monsoon.
