Gurgaon Civic Authority Cracks Down On Squatters, IlAfter Delhi, the illegal constructions in Gurgaon has come under the scanner of civic authorities as major drives are being conducted across the town to remove squatters and encroachments from the streets and the residential colonies. In a recent move, three enforcement teams from the Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon (MCG) removed illegal occupants from 11 areas in the city which includes Sadar Bazaar, Jacobpura, Rajiv Chowk, Sohna Road, Subhash Chowk, Tikri village, sectors 40, 44, 45, Silokhra and Sikanderpur. These encroachments were also causing congestion on arterial roads.
Cidco To Develop Nerul Along The Lines Of Santa CruzIn order to replicate the commercial aura around the Mumbai airport, the City and Industrial Development Corporation (Cidco) is going to develop a 1.3-hectare plot in Nerul for a residential-cum-commercial purpose, just like Santa Cruz in Mumbai. The Cidco has invited applications for lease for this prime property which would also push the annual revenue of the agency by Rs 400 crore.
Noida Authority Announces Budget For 2018-19, FocuseThe Noida authority announced a budget of Rs 4,350.11 crore for the year 2018-19 on April 26. With a reduction of Rs 3,720 crore from the last year’s Rs 8,070 crore, the authority still hopes to have a surplus of Rs 37.19 crore. It is aiming to garner revenue worth Rs 4,337.3 crore through lease rent, property transfer fee, land sale, builder land dues, water bills, etc. It announced the allocation for the elevated road project over Shahdara drain. Besides increasing the rate of one-time lease rent, the civic body took decisions on paying guest policy and renting of plots.
Gurgaon Circle Rates Hiked By 15%In a move that is likely to help authorities meet the twin objectives of generating more revenues and equalising the differences in rates in various sectors, the Gurgaon district administration has hiked circle rates by up to 20 per cent, for the second time in two months. The revised circle rates come into effect from April 9. It was on February 12 when circles rates were revised in Gurgaon after a gap of four years.
