Gurgaon Police To Use Mobile App For Passport VerifiThe Gurgaon Police have adopted an online system to expedite the police-verification process for issuance of passports. Under the 'M-passport' initiative, over 50 mobile tablets will be provided to various police officials, who can easily upload the documents and share the applicant’s data with the headquarters and the passport office, using a mobile application. Besides, eliminating the paperwork, the new system will complete the verification process within two days or a maximum of five days. The police personnel will also be given the training to accustom themselves to the digital format.
