    Extended Metro Network To Make Ghaziabad Realty More Attractive

    The wait for Ghaziabad to have an extended operational Metro network is now over as the Centre on January 23 approved the extension of the Delhi Metro corridor from Dilshad Garden to New Bus Adda in Ghaziabad. Covering 9.41 km, this Red Line extension to be built at an estimated cost of Rs 1,781 crore will have eight stations — Shaheed Nagar, Raj Bagh, Rajendra Nagar, Shyam Park, Mohan Nagar, Arthala, River Hindon and New bus stand.

    Pay Damages For Violations Or Face The Music: NGT To Sushant Lok-1 Builder

    Sushant Lok-1, one of the largest privately developed residential colonies in Gurgaon, may be headed towards a “closure”. Citing a January-8 order of the National Green Tribunal, media reports say the developer of the residential colony that houses over 10,000 families may be asked to close Sushant Lok-1 if it fails to compensate for 10 serious environmental violations. The violations include encroachment of green areas, extraction of ground water without required permission, absence of sewage treatment plants and failure of maintenance of facilities.

    Yeida Scheme 2009: Authority To Start Handing Over 11,000 Plots In March

    While it has already handed over a total of 4,317 plots till October last year out of 14,453 plots that were offered under the scheme, it now plans to deliver the remaining residential plots in two tranches. The Yeida will give possession letters to 5,500 allottees of such plots by March 31, and another 4,500 possession letters will be given by June 30. The authority will waive all default interest and penalty over payments because of the possession delay – all plots were to be handed over by 2014.

    UP-RERA May Deregister 10 Housing Projects

    Tightening its grip around defaulters, the Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (UP-RERA) has decided to deregister 10 residential housing projects in the Noida region on charges of undue completion delays and non-compliance. Since September 2018, the UP-RERA has heard 1,100 cases, and preliminary investigations have revealed that builders diverted homebuyers’ money for other purposes in several instances, leading to delays in project delivery. Such developers will have to pay a penalty to buyers.

    Noida To Get Infra Projects Worth Rs 2,881 Cr

    In the New Year, Noida would get infrastructure projects worth Rs 2,881 crore. While some of these projects would be inaugurated in 2019, works on others would start during the course of the year. Among the projects that will be inaugurated this year include a Dada-Dadi Park at Sector 62, a Traffic Park at Sector 108, a Shilp Haat and Bunkar Bhawan at Sector 33-A and a Command Control Centre at Sector 94.
