How To Convert Agricultural Land For Residential Use
Under the provisions of the law, agricultural land could only be used for agricultural purposes. To use it for a purpose other than that i.e. residential, commercial or industrial, the owner has to seek an approval from authorities concerned and change the “land use”. In most states the authority to grant land use lies with the revenue department. An obligatory charge, which varies from state to state, must also be paid by the person who is seeking of conversion of land use.
