To Decongest East Delhi, Centre Proposes A 19-Km HigThe Centre is planning to build a 19-km highway starting from Loni near the Delhi-Ghaziabad border to the Akshardham flyover. The new highway will allow commuters to avoid the congested areas of east Delhi and reach the Saharanpur-bound national highway NH709B near Loni from the NH-24 directly. The project has received an in-principle approval while it may take upto three months to file a detailed project report.
Much-Delayed Dwarka Expressway Is Nearing CompletionSince “all obstacles have been removed”, the 29-kilometre Dwarka Expressway could be ready in another one-and-a-half year, says Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority Chief Executive Officer V Umashankar.
