Courts across the country have been ruling that parents who are being illtreated by their children or their legal heirs can evict them from their property, irrespective of the property “type”. The Delhi High Court, for example, recently ruled senior citizens can apply for eviction of their “son, daughter and legal heir from the property of any kind ─ movable or immovable, ancestral or self-acquired, tangible or intangible”.
