    Delhi Metro's Blue Line Extension To Noida Sec 62 To Open Soon

    Soon, people working in Noida Sector 62 won’t have to rely on auto-rickshaws and hired cabs for commuting as the Delhi Metro’s Blue Line extension from Noida City Centre to Noida Sector 62 and Electronic City will get operational by January next year. At present, only Delhi Transport Corporation-run buses and private autos are available for public transit in the area. The same is true of several areas of Ghaziabad that lie close to Sector 62.

    Yeida Scheme 2009: Authority To Start Handing Over 11,000 Plots In March

    While it has already handed over a total of 4,317 plots till October last year out of 14,453 plots that were offered under the scheme, it now plans to deliver the remaining residential plots in two tranches. The Yeida will give possession letters to 5,500 allottees of such plots by March 31, and another 4,500 possession letters will be given by June 30. The authority will waive all default interest and penalty over payments because of the possession delay – all plots were to be handed over by 2014.

    Upcoming Airports That Will Be A Game Changer For Real Estate

    In a report by global consultancy and research firm Centre for Asia Pacific Aviation (CAPA), India's aviation industry will become the third-largest market in the world with regards to departures by 2019, and job creation by 2027. The report also focuses on the apparent saturation likely in existing airports in metro cities and the need to deploy more capacity in Tier-II cities. To welcome the new flyers, the government is developing 100 airports across various locations in the country.

    Developers, Buyers In Bengaluru Worried Over New NGT Norms

    On December 6, the National Green Tribunal (NGT) had issued orders to ban construction activities up to 75 metres from the boundary of stormwater drains (SWDs), also referred to as rajakaluves. Aimed at preserving the Bellandur and Agara lakes that have become highly polluted, the decision by NGT implies serious trouble for those structures that have been built, following the old buffer zone rules. As per earlier NGT regulations, a buffer area of 50 metres for primary stormwater drains, 35 metres for secondary ones and buffer area of 25 metres for tertiary drains has been allowed. Karanataka government will file an appeal, seeking review of the recent ruling.
