Delhi’s Iconic Taj Mansingh Hotel To Be Auctioned in June
The New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) will hold the auction for the luxury Taj Mansingh hotel in New Delhi on June 19, as per the new date released by the civic body. The NDMC owns the 3.78 acre-land on Mansingh Road in central Delhi over which the iconic property is built. The Tata Group-owned Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) manages the property under the brand Taj Hotels Palaces Resorts Safaris. IHCL entered into a 33-year lease agreement, with NDMC in 1976, which expired in 2011. NDMC then decided for a public auction that resulted in many litigations and lease extensions.
